DIY - SLIME SLOGAN SWEATER
Remember this exact outfit from two days ago? It was so long ago you probably need refreshing, right? I made this Goosebumps-inspired 90-style cropped sweater in an ode to everything that is beautiful and perfect in this world - i.e. the movie Clueless.
Basically, the jumper was going nowhere before. I think I wore it once in winter, most probably to sleep in. It literally took me 20 minutes to make (with an impromptu cat dance party interval) and, obviously, you can make one however you like it - whatever top, slogan and font pleases you.
If you want to do slime font I advise googling Goosebumps book covers for 10 minutes and just reminiscing for a bit. You know, to just get a feel for the whole vibe.
Ok! You're gonna need: a sweater/jumper/tee/thing, scissors (optional), a big ass permanent marker and a dressmakers pencil (just a regular pencil will do)
1. Because my jumper was slouchy in all the wrong ways I wanted to crop it first. For this style I cut the front about 3 inches shorter than the back in a rounded eclipse kinda of motion (what?). Hot tip: If you ever want to crop a top just cut it a couple of inches longer than your first instincts, you can always snip off more if needed but you can't add fabric to a weird underboob revealing creation.
2. Draw on your text! The should be done in the dressmaker's pencil incase you make mistakes but for photography sake I drew over it with permanent marker.
3. Draw the outline of your text around the line drawing. Again, use dressmaker's pencil! If you're not too experienced with the classic slime font (or whatever you're using) draw your design out on paper first so you know exactly what you're doing.
4. Colour it in!
Pretty simple, right?
Now feel free to reference The Mindy Project while wearing it because this is definately so slime.

That's pretty cool! I wouldn't have thought to use a marker for the words :)
